Taylor's mother, Stacy, nominated her daughter because she was able to increase her academic achievements even though she's a high school athlete and she started working.
Taylor received a "Star Student" certificate, $100 gift card from Huntington Learning Center of Lake in the Hills and $25 from Jimmy John's in Crystal Lake and East Algonquin.
