McHenry County Department of Health (MCDH) is adding an adult smoking cessation class during the lunch hour to help you say goodbye to cigarettes for good. The new class begins on Weds January 9th from 12pm til 1pm at the McHenry County Government Center, Administration Building, 667 Ware Road, Woodstock.
If evening are more convenient, MCDH will begin its regularly scheduled evening class on Tues January 8th from 5:45pm til 6:45pm, at McHenry County College, 8900 US Highway 14, Crystal Lake.
During the 6 week class, participants will learn about available smoking cessation aids, how to make positive behavior changes and deal with withdrawal symptoms so they remain smoke free. Stress, exercise and weight management techniques are also covered.
The $20 enrollment fee is refundable if you attend all six classes. To register, please contact Karin at the Dept. of Health at 815-334-4931. |
